About The Role
We are recruiting a Junior Technical Designer to join our expanding Technical Design team based at our state-of-the-art Head Office site in Barton-upon-Humber.
 
Critical purpose of role:

To provide 2D & 3D drafting and designs of Wren products whilst making contributions towards existing, current and future design projects along with your team. Eventually, the position will progress to a Technical Designer after training and experience of the role is gained.

Main responsibilities:

  • Create technical documents, product manufacture drawings and product instructions using AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • General Microsoft Office use for issuing, reporting and indexing documentation
  • Analyse and measure Wren products for fabrication or modification
  • Knowledge of document and drawing issue and control
  • Liaise with both office and factory manufacturing staff
  • Visit all Wren factories if required to assist with design projects; Howden, Scunthorpe and Barton
  • Work within the Technical Design team and independently
About You
Key competencies:
 
  • 2D / 3D Draughting experience – AutoCAD is essential, basic Photoshop / InDesign knowledge is desirable
  • Knowledge of document and drawing issue and control
  • Microsoft Office and email competent
  • Driving license is desirable
