About The Role
We are currently recruiting for an additional chef to complement our existing team at our Barton-upon-Humber site. The position is full time 05:00 - 14:30, Tuesday to Friday and 07:30 - 11:30 on Saturdays.
 
The Chef will prepare and cook food from our exciting menu's for our employees and visitors at our Head Office throughout the day, serving both of our onsite restaurants. Our menu's are constantly being developed to cater for all different nutritional needs, with the new Chef playing a leading role in this alongside the catering management team. We know that ongoing training and qualifications are important for our catering staff, so we'll look to progress you through qualifications which would be necessary for you to develop your skills and knowledge.
 
Main responsibilities:
  • Provide a catering service to all Wren employees
  • Basic food preparation
  • Serving and handling of food in the canteen
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
  • Employ food safety best practices and make sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
  • Keep the workstation tidy, including clearing down at the end of the shift, washing up and good observation of cleanliness
  • Be part of the cleaning rota on a weekly basis
Our Chefs receive a highly competitive base salary plus a quarterly bonus based on abilities and performance.
