About The Role
Main responsibilities:
 
  • Preparation of weekly/ monthly accounts
  • Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and company policies are followed
  • Yearend audit activities
  • Provide analytical review of both financial and non-financial external returns and financial accounts to ensure reasonableness, consistency and accuracy
  • Weekly KPI packs
  • Fixed overhead spend reviews, providing strong cost control
  • Review Asset register
  • Balance sheet reconciliation’s (as per TB register)
  • Review and Update rolling forecast
  • Review purchasing spend tracking rebates, optimisation of payment terms
  • Stock Reporting
  • Identify opportunities for cost mitigation, propose a business case
  • Providing commentary to the business to back-up accounts schedules
  • Associating values to the business challenge
  • Driving continuous improvement and developing processes
In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.

About You
Desired skills and knowledge:
 
  • Experience of recognised ERP system. Preferably IFS
  • Pro-active approach
  • Excellent attention to detail, quality and accuracy
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to clearly communicate in a professional manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to deal effectively with both colleagues and suppliers
  • A lasting commitment to 'doing the job right’ and challenging the status quo
