The IT Purchasing Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the procurement of IT equipment and solutions,
directly impacting our operational efficacy. You will guide and develop the purchasing team, prioritise new and
urgent requests, and ensure the swift fulfilment of procurement needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the IT procurement process, aligning it with organisational needs and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Foster and leverage relationships with IT vendors and negotiate to attain the best possible terms
- Work closely with IT asset managers to proactively determine and fulfil technology requirements.
- Prioritise new service requests, ensuring critical and urgent demands are met swiftly and efficiently.
- Mentor and develop the purchasing team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Scrutinise and evaluate supplier proposals, focusing on value, quality, and delivery commitments.
- Refine and enforce purchasing policies and procedures to heighten productivity and enhance procurement
operations.
- Record and manage all IT purchasing data, maintaining up-to-date information for inventory and budget
management.
- Analyse procurement metrics, deliver comprehensive reports to management, and act on the findings to drive
improvements and achieve savings.
- Manage compliance with licensing, budget, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
- Administer the purchasing budget, ensuring judicious allocation and expenditure in line with strategic IT needs.
