About The Role

As the IT Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our IT systems, service, and infrastructure white supporting our already established cloud-first strategy. Leveraging multi-cloud architecture with an estate that is 90% cloud, your strategic thinking and leadership will be instrumental in aligning IT initiatives with the company's objectives and ensuring a reliable and scalable IT environment. Overseeing a team of IT professionals, including 1st and 2nd line support, systems and network engineers, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, and drive innovation within the business.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, including 1st and 2nd line support, systems administrators, network engineers, and cloud infrastructure management
  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's goals, while ensuring alignment with industry best practices
  • Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimisation of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers and networks
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met
  • Manage and communicate budgetary expectations for IT projects and initiatives, ensuring cost-effective solutions and responsible resource allocation
  • Implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve IT issues, minimising downtime and disruptions
  • Ensure IT operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate with IT business change teams to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects, from conception to implementation
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and troubleshooting
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the IT team, emphasising collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members to enhance skills and expertise

About You

Essential Skills & Knowledge:
 
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in IT management, with a strong track record of leadership and successful project delivery
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking, systems, and industry best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience of cloud technologies and products, leveraging and utilising cloud at a previous role
  • Good understanding of Microsoft and Cisco Infrastructures and technologies
  • Relevant certifications are a plus
