About The Role

Operating from our headquarters in Barton upon Humber, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and associated software applications within our organization. Working closely with end-users and IT teams, you will ensure the smooth operation of all desktop-related infrastructure and contribute to enhancing overall IT efficiency and effectiveness, all the while upholding clear communication and professional standards.

In this role, you will take charge of configuring, installing, and supporting desktops, laptops, and mobile devices running on Windows 10/11, Mac OS, Android, and iOS platforms. Additionally, you will troubleshoot printer issues, address network connectivity challenges, and resolve general IT queries. Overseeing the hardware estate is three MDM’s: Intune, Jamf and SOTI and we aim to be able to provide support to all devices and the software managed by them.

 
Main Responsibilities:

  • Assume ownership of assigned tasks, updating and resolving incidents/requests via the IT Service Management platform.
  • Manage and complete projects in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring expectations are met.
  • Demonstrate outstanding organizational skills and a track record of adhering to high-performance and quality standards.
  • Thrive in high-pressure environments, effectively balancing priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Exhibit keen attention to detail and employ a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Lead incident diagnosis through structured investigative processes.
  • Proactively oversee hardware and software assets, maintaining accurate asset information.
  • Maintain self-motivation and consistently deliver high performance.
  • Keep the knowledge base updated with technical information.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to address incidents and requests promptly.
  • Ensure all systems are up to date with the latest updates and security patches.
  • Investigate recurring issues and apply preventative measures.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for the service desk team.
  • Implement new technologies throughout the organization.

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of PC and Mobile based hardware and software including Active Directory, Office 365, Windows 10, MacOS, IOS and Android.
  • Highly focused, hardworking, and eager individual who is keen to learn new technologies.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile and think outside the box to resolve problems.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, unsupervised and liaise with both internal and external providers for support when needed.
  • Analytical troubleshooting mindset, with a problem-solving personality.
  • Providing customer support both face to face and remotely.
  • Experience in the training and coaching of junior team members.
  • Driving licence is essential due to occasional visit to remote production sites.
  • Knowledge of Azure, Intune, Microsoft, Soti, Jamf, IFS.
  • Any relevant certifications are an advantage.
