About The Role
As we continue to add more showrooms to our retail portfolio, we are now looking to recruit an additional HR Advisor to work across the UK, taking full responsibility of all HR related matters within the showrooms. Although the role will be field based, the HR Advisor will also need to be at our Head Office in Barton-Upon-Humber for 2 days a week, if possible depending on workload.
 
Critical purpose of role:
•    Alongside HQ based HR Advisor take full ownership for all HR related matters within Region
•    Provide managers with professional, pragmatic and commercially focused advice and guidance on all HR related matters
•    Take the lead in managing a full breadth of end-to-end employee relations (ER) issues
•    Collaborative approach within the HR team and across business areas, to ensure the provision of a high-quality and consistent HR service to the business

Main responsibilities:
•    High-volume ER case management, including the preparation of case related documentation, handling internal investigations, chairing discipline, grievance and   capability hearings, adhering to procedural timescales and ensuring robust conclusions are reached
•    Take full ownership of ill health capability / long term sickness procedures within business area
•    Work closely with line-managers and department heads, within business area to ensure a consistent approach to people management
•    Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across all organisational levels, including senior management, build credibility as a ‘specialist’ advisor - attend key business updates and management meetings
•    Support the Head of HR / HR Manager in reviewing and implementing new HR Policies & Procedures, in line with changes to relevant employment legislation, coach and support line-managers to ensure these are embedded across the business
•    Identify areas for improvement in our HR processes and company practices, submit these as proposals to the Head of HR / HR Manager
•    Collate HR data and produce reports / HR management information for the Head of HR / HR Manager to use in strategically developing the HR function
•    Support the Head of HR / HR Manager in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects across the business
•    Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Employment Law and developments in HR best practice
•    Participate in weekly HR team meetings - understand workload and priorities of other HR Advisors and provide support as required
•    To work flexibly in line with the needs of the business and carry out any other reasonable duties as required – including crossover
into other regions
About You
Relevant Qualifications
Mandatory:
  • Currently holds or is actively working towards a CIPD Level 5 qualification
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a HR Advisory role, preferably within a retail environment
Desired:
  • Educated to a degree level
  • Experience within: retail HR or retail management
