About The Role
Due to the continued growth of the business, we are delighted to announce that we will be opening a new Transport Depot at Tipton in the coming weeks. After our first successful phase of recruitment, we are now ready to complete the second phase, recruiting a Night Yardman to ensure our fleet of vehicles are ready to deliver our fantastic kitchens to our customers' homes. The working hours for the role are 21:00 to 06:00 any 5 out of 6 days per week on a rota shift pattern.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Regulations
  • Ensure the fleet is maintained and ready for all deliveries
  • Ensure fleet compliance and health and safety standards are adhered to
  • Constantly communicate with the transport office regarding daily activities
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding delivery service and safety at the workplace
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed and faults reported to your transport office team
  • Always offer a pleasant and concise delivery experience at each delivery visit
  • Take full responsibility of operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner
  • Ensure that Van Delivery Porters proactively makes customer phone calls with ETA’s, & keeps records of deliveries
  • Take extra care with products to ensure goods are delivered damage free
About You
Relevant Qualifications & Experience:
  • More than 1 year experience in HGV Driving
  • Hold a Valid C+E License with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Holds an up to date Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Experience in the 'Home Delivery' service
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
