About The Role
We are currently looking for Class 1 Drivers to work from our Barton-Upon-Humber depot delivering specialist granite worktops to our depots and showrooms across the UK. You will work Monday to Saturday and may be required to stay away for 2 to 3 nights a week.
You will be paid weekly with a guaranteed 48 hours per week contract, hourly rate is £12.50 per hour plus a graded bonus of £500 per quarter (£2,000 a year bonus). You'll also receive 25 days holiday a year plus Bank holidays off.

Due to the recent expansion of our worktop production facilities, we are now looking to recruit Class 1 Drivers to deliver worktops to our depots and showrooms across the UK, from our Barton-Upon-Humber depot.

As this is a new role within the business, we have invested in brand new, full spec Mercedes Trucks as well as new double deck trailers. Each trailer will have a Mounted Forklift (Moffet) on the back to unload the worktops upon arrival at the depots and showrooms. Ideally, you will have experience using a Moffet but if not, full training will be provided once you start with us.
Main responsibilities:
  • H & S - To provide a safe working environment for yourselves and all around you
  • Deliver our worktops to our depots and showrooms across the UK, ensuring all deliveries are of a high standard
  • Ensure fleet compliance and health and safety standards are adhered to and continuously improved
  • Adhere to EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Regulations
  • Constantly communicate with the transport office regarding daily activities
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding delivery service and safety at the workplace
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed and faults reported to your transport office team
  • Always offer a pleasant and concise delivery experience at each delivery visit
  • Take full responsibility of operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner
  • Take extra care with products to ensure goods are delivered damage free
About You
Relevant qualifications and experience:
  • Hold a valid C+E license with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Hold an up to date Driver CPC Qualification with a minimum of 3 CPC courses in date
  • Hold an up to date Digital Tachograph Card
  • Experience using a Moffet for deliveries would be ideal but is not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
