About The Role
Reporting into the Director of Strategy & Innovation, the Head of Data & Analytics is responsible for leading our research, data and analytics projects at Wren. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a world class data warehouse system and a team of expert Data Analysts / Scientists to identify data trends and opportunities. The Head of Data & Analytics will be responsible for providing business insights to inspire new business projects and strategies to influence positive performance across the business and will bring together new and existing data platforms to streamline the management and use of data. This role will recruit, manage and oversee a new data team to ensure critical data projects are achieved on time and in budget.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Growing a new data insights team using a range of data roles
  • Responsible for developing and identifying roles within a data team to achieve business strategies
  • Managing data trend projects to identify insights to positively influence business performance
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in all data platforms across the business
  • Implementing/managing new performance-related projects to improve key metrics
  • Managing the performance and delivery of the new data insights teams
  • Creating presentations for internal stakeholders to review weekly performance
  • Providing accurate data to departments and key stakeholders

About You
Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Highly experienced with analysing structured & unstructured data and identifying trends
  • Able to translate complex data into structured reports
  • Can confidently communicate and present data to key stakeholders
  • Experience of managing and building a data driven team of Analysts and / or Architects, including performance management
  • Highly experienced in providing business insights to influence business change
  • Hands on and self-directed work ethic
  • Highly experienced using MySQL, Python, MS Excel, Qlik Sense
  • Experience using JavaScript and PHP is preferred but not essential
  • Familiar using JSON file structures
  • Will have experience in creating performance related reports to drive business change
  • Experience in machine learning and data modelling
  • Proven ability in leading a business data structure and data team
