About The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented IT Performance BI Analyst to join our team. You'll develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that deliver insights into IT performance. Strong skills in Power BI, Databricks, and ad hoc data sources are essential, along with the ability to turn business needs into effective reporting solutions.

This role requires you to be in the office at Barton-upon-Humber DN18 5R 2/3 days a week. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize key IT performance metrics.
  • Gather requirements and deliver user-friendly BI solutions for IT and business stakeholders.
  • Integrate data from Databricks and other sources into scalable models.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across reports.
  • Collaborate with data teams to improve data quality and accessibility.
  • Analyse trends and provide actionable insights to IT leadership.
  • Document data sources, models, and calculations.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting needs.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in BI tools and processes.

In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.

About You

Essential Criteria:

  • Skilled in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, dashboard design).
  • Experienced with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Strong SQL and data modelling knowledge.
  • Proficient in integrating diverse data sources.
  • Familiar with data warehousing and ETL.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Able to clearly communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaborator with effective time management skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Visual Basic experience – Automated Excel Reports, Functionality within Reports
  • Experience building reports/dashboards in PowerBI
  • Experience writing SQL queries
  • Power BI knowledge 
    • Modelling Data from MySQL, PostgreSQL and Sharepoint Data Sources
    • DAX calculated columns
    • Scheduling of Reports in the PBI Service
